Tubing connections between the adapter block and the flow cell are installed at the
factory and should not be opened by the user.
Capillary connections between the column and flow cell should be as short as possible to
avoid peak broadening effects due to excessive dead volume.
The following flow cells are available for the detector:
Part No.

6074.0200
Analytical flow cell
(cell volume: 11 µL, cell material: PEEK, path length: 10 mm, pressure limit: 5 MPa)
6074.0250
Analytical flow cell
(cell volume: 11 µL, cell material: stainless steel, path length: 10 mm,
pressure limit: 12 MPa)
6074.0300
Semi-micro flow cell
(cell volume: 2.5 µL, cell material: PEEK, path length: 7 mm, pressure limit: 5 MPa)
6074.0360

There is no exact definition of the light path in capillary flow cells as is for conventional flow cells . Therefore, you should not use
this value for calculating the absorption coefficient or the detector sensitivity according to the Lambert-Beer law.
In addition, the following is available from Thermo Fisher Scientific for the use of the
detector in an UltiMate 3000 XRS system:
Part No.
Description
6074.0285
UV monitor for the XRS system, ultra-low dispersion
(cell volume: 45 nL, cell material: fused silica, path length: 10 mm*,
pressure limit: 30 MPa)
Recommended for the use in an UltiMate 3000 XRS system in combination with a mass
spectrometer. For information about the UV monitor, refer to section 2.8 (→ page 28).
*
There is no exact definition of the light path in capillary flow cells as is for conventional flow cells . Therefore, you should not use
this value for calculating the absorption coefficient or the detector sensitivity according to the Lambert-Beer law.
Installation and removal of the UV monitor is the same as for flow cells without adapter block
(→ sections 7.4.3.1 and 7.4.3.3).
