Turn on the selected lamp whenever the detector is powered up or when
operation is resumed after standby mode has been cancelled. To turn the
lamps on or off manually, use the lamp commands on the Preferences
menu (→ page 70).
Set the display and function key parameters:
Data display mode—determines for which data the related information
appears on the screen.
Brightness—sets the screen brightness.
Contrast—sets the screen contrast.
Key sound—sets whether an acoustic beep sounds when you select a
function key: On—yes or Off—no.
Key autorepeat—sets whether the keystroke is automatically repeated
when you remain on the key for a longer period, for example, to change
a value quickly (On = yes or Off = no).
Set the limits for the internal tests performed by the detector to check
the operational readiness.
Note: Even if the detector does not reach full operational readiness,
measurements can be performed (if no error is detected). However, the
detector performance may be reduced.
Stabilization time—sets how long a condition must be fulfilled. Only
then, the ready check is passed.
UV low intensity limit and VIS low intensity limit—set the low
intensity limit for the related lamp. Any value between 0 and 100% is
allowed. If the measured intensity is below the limit, a message appears
on the detector display.
Lamp house temp. change—sets the limit for the lamp house
temperature. If the measured value is above this limit, the ready check
fails.
Drift—sets the limit for the baseline drift. If the measured value is
above this limit, the ready check fails.
See information about the raw data parameters, such as, auto-ranging,
data rate for the single wavelengths and integration time.
Thermo Fisher Scientific advises against changing these settings for
standalone operation.
