UltiMate 3000 Series:
VWD-3100 and VWD-3400RS Variable Wavelength Detectors
To monitor the lamp intensity from the front panel display
1. Show the function keys and select Menu.
2. Select Configuration, and then select Ready Check.
3. Select UV low intensity limit and enter the low limit for the intensity of the deuterium
lamp. Select VIS low intensity limit and enter the low limit for the intensity of the
tungsten lamp.
4. On the Main menu, select Diagnostics, and then select Information.
5. Select UV lamp (or VIS lamp) to see general information about the lamp, including
the current lamp intensity (→ page 71).

5.5.5 Starting and Stopping Data Acquisition

You can start and stop data acquisition in Chromeleon or from the front panel display. In
addition, you can monitor the progress of data acquisition on the display.
To start or stop data acquisition in Chromeleon
1. Open the Commands dialog box for the detector.
2. Select the signal for which you want to start or stop data acquisition (UV_VIS_1
through UV_VIS_4).
3. Perform the AcqOn command to start data acquisition.
Perform the AcqOff command to stop data acquisition.
To start or stop data acquisition from the front panel display
1. Show the function keys (→ page 64).
2. Select Run to start data acquisition.
Select Stop to stop data acquisition. The Stop key is available only while data
acquisition is running.
