5.4.2.4 Preferences Menu
On the Preferences menu, select the settings for data acquisition and for the lamps.
To ...
Set the data rate for the measurement.Select an option:
Slow—0.5 Hz
Medium—1 Hz
Fast—2 Hz
Max.—as fast as possible
User— allows you enter the data step under Multi wvl. data step. User
is indicated also when the detector is connected in Chromeleon.
In multiple wavelength applications, baseline noise increases at higher
data collection rates. This is especially the case of the data rate is set to
the maximum or close to the maximum. To reduce noise, select a lower
data collection rate.
See the data step, based on the Multi wvl. data rate setting (read-only).
If Multi wvl. data rate = User, you can enter the data step manually.
Set the time constant for the analog out output.
Turn the lamp on or off.
Use the Lamp power on defaults commands on the Configuration
menu to turn on the lamps automatically whenever the detector is
powered up or operation is resumed after standby mode has been
cancelled (→ page 71).
