Power

The Power value corresponds to the optical power
reflected by the fiber Bragg grating at the peak wave­
length (Fig. 4.3).

Measurement Methods

BraggMETER interrogators incorporate two distinct mea­
surement methods. The Conventional in which a global
threshold is considered for the detection and measure­
ment of the fiber Bragg grating sensors and the Smart
peak Detection (SPD), in which individual configurable
sensor ranges are used combined with a defined thresh­
old for the optical channel, referenced to the peak inside
each range.
