Understanding sharing
Two users can team together in a multimedia sharing conversation and one PC can support multiple
peer-to-peer sharing conversations simultaneously. These features must be assigned to you. If you
have support for the sharing feature, then the Avaya Aura
sharing tools:
• Send File: to send files to the remote user
• Share Whiteboard: to collaborate with the remote user by entering text and graphic objects in a
shared workspace. Both you and the remote user can manipulate and view the shared
whiteboard equally.
• Transfer Clipboard: to send the contents of your Windows system clipboard
• Send Web Push: to send web pages to the remote user
Tip:
With the exception of the Send Web Push command, the sharing actions are only available
when the other user is also using the Avaya Aura
5300 UC Client.
Tip:
You do not have to initiate a voice conversation before starting a sharing conversation.
When you start sharing with an untrusted user, you receive an Accept option to start the sharing
action, such a sending a web page, transferring a clipboard, sharing a whiteboard, or sending or
