About this task
Use this procedure to send a file.
Procedure
1. Click Sharing in the Conversation window for the call.
The Conversation window shows the sharing control panel.
2. Click Send File from the sharing control panel.
The Avaya Aura
select a file to send to the remote computer.
Tip:
You can drag a file from your desktop or windows explorer and drop it onto the sharing
control panel to initiate a file transfer.
3. Select a file and click Open to initiate the file transfer.
The Avaya Aura
request to be accepted or rejected. While waiting for remote party acceptance, the file
transfer appears in the pending state in the sharing control panel.
Tip:
Before the remote party accepts or rejects your file send request, you have the option to
cancel the file send action by clicking Stop.
If the remote party accepts the file transfer, the file is sent, and the sharing control panel
indicates that the file was sent successfully.
If the remote party rejects the file transfer, the file is not sent, and the sharing control panel
indicates that the file transfer failed.

Receiving files

After the remote party requests a file transfer to you, your Conversation window expands to show
the sharing control panel, and the Avaya Aura
request in the pending state. You can accept or reject the transferred file.
Tip:
You do not receive the Accept option in the sharing window, if you configured the user who is
sending you the file as a Trusted User.
To accept the file, click Accept in the sharing control panel.
