• You can have it open and minimized on your PC task bar. When this option is selected,
you can also select the check box Display a notification near the System Tray. This
displays a system tray popup window when you receive a call.

Specifying system preferences

About this task
System preferences allow you to customize how the Avaya Aura
when the PC enters low power mode. Low power mode is one of the following:
• Standby: Power to most PC components is off, but RAM remains powered in order to preserve
system state.
• Hibernate: The system state is saved to the hard drive, and power to all PC components is
turned off.
• Eject: Similar to Standby, but it causes a hardware re-configuration to occur in the PC.
Use this procedure to set your System preferences.
Procedure
1. Select Multimedia > Preferences > System.
2. Select the check box beside Logout on system standby.
3. Click OK to save your changes or click Cancel to exit without saving.

Specifying miscellaneous preferences

Use Miscellaneous preferences to customize the Ignore button action and the double-click action.

About this task
Use this procedure to specify the action the Avaya Aura
click Ignore for an incoming call.
Procedure
1. Select Multimedia > Preferences and then select the Miscellaneous list item.
2. Select how the Avaya Aura
button on a receiving call Conversation window. Do one of the following:
• Select the Ignore action affects AS 5300 UC Client only check box to silence ringing
only on the Avaya Aura
