Specifying instant message timestamps
About this task
By default, the Avaya Aura
message.
Use this procedure to change the date display format or to remove the timestamp from being
displayed.
Procedure
1. Select Multimedia > Preferences and then select the Instant Messaging list item.
2. Select the desired timestamp format from the Timestamp format settings list.
3. Click OK to save your changes or click Cancel to exit without saving.
Specifying instant message pop-up behavior
About this task
By default, when the Avaya Aura
Conversation window appears and assumes window focus.
Use this procedure to configure how the Avaya Aura
instant message is received.
Procedure
1. Select Multimedia > Preferences and then select the Instant Messaging list item.
2. Do one of the following:
• Select the Minimize new IM window to taskbar check box if you want the instant
message to only flash in the taskbar and not pop up on your desktop. When this option is
selected, you can also select notification near the System Tray. This displays window
when you receive an instant message.
• Select the Bring IM window to front check box if you want the Avaya Aura
Office Client to bring the Conversation window to the front of your desktop.
3. Click OK to save your changes or click Cancel to exit without saving.

Specifying calls preferences

Use the Calls preferences to:
• choose to have a list of dialing prefixes presented whenever a routable number is called.
• select a call pop-up mode.
