C.6 Chokes and Sine Wave Filter
If the distance between the inverter and the motor is longer than 50m, frequent overcurrent protection may occur to the inverter
because of high leakage current caused by parasitic capacitance effects from the long cables to the ground. In order to avoid the
damage of the motor insulation, it is necessary to add chokes or a sine wave filter. If the distance between the inverter and motor
is between 50m and 100m please install chokes; if it exceeds 100m, install a sine wave filter.
C.7 EMC C3 filters
External C3 filters are optional for CV30 inverters of 1PH 220V/3PH 400V ≤2.2kW and 3PH 220V ≤
0.75kW. The inverters of 3PH 400V≥4kW and 3PH 220V≥1.5kW have an embedded C3 filter which can be
disconnected by jumper J10.
The input interference filter can decrease the interference of the inverter to the surrounding equipments.
SALICRU configured two easy-to-install filters which are placed on the underside of the inverter

Note:
1. The input EMI meet the requirement of C3 after adding input filters.
2. Above options are external, the customer should indicate when purchasing.
C.7.1 Installation instruction for C3 filter
The installation procedures for C3 filter are as below:
1. Connect the filter cable to the corresponding input terminal of the inverter according to the label;
2. Fix the filter onto the inverter with M3*10 screws (as shown in above picture).
