Extension D/A converter module

(1) When the analog output value is not output
Check item
Is there any problem with the wiring, such as looseness or
disconnection of analog signal lines?
Is the CPU module in the STOP status?
Is the output range setting correct?
Is D/A conversion disabled for the channels where the analog
value is to be output?
Is CH Output enable/disable flag (RY20 to RY23) in an off
state for the channels where the analog value is to be output?
Is a digital value written to the channel where the analog
value is to be output?
Is External power supply READY flag (RX2F) on?
Does the main analog module operate in offset/gain setting
mode or unit test mode?
If the analog output value cannot be output even after the above actions are taken, the failure of the D/A converter module is
a possible cause. Please consult your local Mitsubishi representative.
(2) When the analog output value is not held
Check item
Is the setting for the analog output HOLD/CLEAR function
correct?
168
Identify the faulty area of signal lines by a visual check and a continuity check.
Change the status of the CPU module to RUN.
Verify Range setting (address: 0203H) by using the engineering tool or the dedicated
instruction.
If the output range setting is incorrect, set the range again by the program or the parameter
settings.
Check D/A conversion enable/disable setting (address: 0202H) by using the engineering tool
or the dedicated instruction. Then, set the D/A conversion to be enabled by the program or the
parameter settings.
Check the setting for CH Output enable/disable flag (RY20 to RY23) on the monitor of the
engineering tool.
If CH Output enable/disable flag (RY20 to RY23) is in an off state, check the program again.
Check the setting for CH Digital value (RWw12 to RWw15) on the monitor of the engineering
tool.
If the analog output value of the extension D/A converter module is not output, check the
status of External power supply READY flag (RX2F).
If External power supply READY flag (RX2F) is off, adjust External power supply READY flag
(RX2F) to turn on with reference to the following: ( Page 175, Appendix 1.1 (8))
If the drive mode of the main analog module is offset/gain setting mode or unit test mode,
change the drive mode to another one.
Set HOLD for the analog output HOLD/CLEAR function using the engineering tool. In addition,
check the set value for Analog output HOLD/CLEAR setting (address: 0204H).
