Unit Test

The purpose of a unit test is to check if there is any abnormality in the main D/A converter module.
Ethernet cable
When completed successfully
When completed with an error
Remark
When the unit test is completed with an error, the error details can be checked in the error history of the engineering tool.
To check the error history with the engineering tool, set the station number of the main D/A converter module and connect
the module to the master station with an Ethernet cable.
For the error history, refer to the following:
• Checking by executing a command of the slave station ( Page 149, Section 11.1 (1))
• Error history data ( Page 197, Appendix 3 (17))
1.
Power off the module.
2.
Connect the PORT1 and PORT2 connectors of the
main D/A converter module with an Ethernet cable.
3.
Set up the station number setting switch as follows:
• x10: TEST
• x1: 0
4.
Power on the module.
5.
Unit test begins.
: ON
The MODE LED flashes during the unit test.
: Flashing
: OFF
6.
The MODE LED turns off when the unit test is
completed.
: ON
• When the test is completed normally, the ERR. LED does
: Flashing
not turn on, remaining off.
: OFF
• When the test is completed with an error, the ERR. LED
turns on. If the unit test has completed with an error,
: ON
replace the Ethernet cable and run the test again. If the
: Flashing
test is completed with an error again, the hardware failure
: OFF
in the main D/A converter module is a possible cause.
