The length of a transient record is also user-configurable. The number of transient records

is a function of the record length, the time-resolution of the recording,
and of the number of configured channels. The D90
number of transient records based on the user-defined setting values.
The transient recorder has two storage modes: protected and automatic overwrite. When
the memory is filled, either no new records are written to memory (protected mode) or the
oldest record is overwritten (automatic overwrite mode).
