Variables
Variables are transferred using the serial interfaces (Com1, Com2; Modbus RTU) or LAN inter-
face (Ethernet; Modbus/TCP). During this process, the central processing unit can serve as a
Modbus master or Modbus slave.

This means that up to 64 float variables, 64 integer variables, 64 digital variables, and 9 (as of
system version 02: 27; as of system version 04: 90) text variables are available to be freely
used in the system.
As of system version 02, a PROFIBUS-DP interface (slave) is also available which supports
the transfer of float and integer variables.
