License dependance

The functions provided by the setup program depend on the registered license number. A
distinction is made between the following licenses:
• Setup program with program editor (full version)
• Program editor
NOTE!
If the setup program is operated as a full version, the view can be switched so that only the
features of the program editor, of the program generators, and of the process steps are availa-
ble (Menu bar: Window > Program editor).
In the "Program editor" view, the options "Program generator" or "Program generator with pro-
cess steps" are irrelevant.

"Program editor" license

With the "Program editor" license, only the functions of the program editor and the program
generator configuration are available:

The functions of the program editor do not differ from those in the full version of the setup pro-
gram.

With the ability to configure the program generators and the process steps, certain parameters
can be specified which are important for the program schema (programming) and the program
simulation:
• Setpoint value limits and tolerance band limits for verification of the corresponding values
in the program schema
• Setpoint specification for program simulation with setpoint step or setpoint ramp
• Criteria for the section changeover
• Process steps (section time, setpoint values, program generator)
All other program generator parameters are editable, but will not be evaluated.
Data transfer between setup program and system
When transferring data from the setup program to the system, only program data is transferred.
During this process, the setup program checks whether the program is compatible with the sys-
tem settings (e.g. setpoint limits, section times). If this is not the case, an error message is is-
sued which offers various options to the user. The configuration data is not transferred to the
system (including the program generator configuration which was created for verification and
simulation).
