Context
In routine maintenance, you can run the following commands in any view to display the operating
status of GRE.

2.6.3 Debugging GRE

Context
Debugging affects the performance of the system. So, after debugging, run the undo debugging
all command to disable it immediately.
When a GRE fault occurs, run the following debugging commands in the user view to locate
the fault.

Run the reset counters interface tunnel [ interface-number ] command to reset the
statistics of a tunnel interface.
Run the reset keepalive packets count command to reset the statistics of Keepalive packets
on the tunnel interface.
The reset keepalive packets count command runs only in the tunnel interface view. Also,
the tunnel protocol on the interface must be GRE.
Run the display interface tunnel [ interface-number ] command to view the operation
status of the interface.
Run the display ip routing-table vpn-instance vpn-instance-name command to view
information about the VPN routing table on the PE.
Run the display ip routing-table command to view the routing table on the CE.
Run the ping -a source-ip-address [ -vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]dest-ip-address
command to check whether the two ends of the tunnel can communicate with each other.
