3 BGP/MPLS IP VPN Configuration
l
3-18
The RIP routes are imported to the routing table of the BGP VPN instance.
After the import-route rip command is run in the BGP VPN instance view, the PE
imports the VPN routes learned from the connected CE to BGP, and then advertises
the routes, which are the VPN IPv4 routes, to the remote PE.
NOTE
If the VPN instance is removed, the related RIP processes are removed.
Configuring OSPF between PE and CE
The configuration is performed on the PE. Configure common OSPF on the CE. The
configuration procedure is not described here.
NOTE
For the configuration procedure of OSPF, refer to
Terabit Routing Switch Configuration Guide - IP Routing.
1.
Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2.
Run:
ospf process-id [ router-id router-id ] vpn-instance vpn-instance-name
An OSPF instance is created between PE and CE and the OSPF view is displayed.
An OSPF process belongs to only one VPN instance. If a running OSPF process is
not bound to a VPN instance, the OSPF process belongs to a public network. In this
case, this process cannot be bound to a VPN instance.
The OSPF process bound to the VPN instance does not use the router ID of public
network configured in the system view. You need to specify the router ID when
starting the OSPF process. If you do not specify the router ID, OSPF chooses a router
ID from the IP addresses of the interfaces bound to the VPN instance according to
certain rules.
3.
(Optional) Run:
domain-id domain-id [ secondary ]
The domain ID is configured.
A domain ID can be an integer or a value in dotted decimal notation.
Each OSPF process can be configured with two domain IDs and the domain IDs of
different processes are independent of each other. The domain IDs of the OSPF
processes in different VPNs can be different or be the same. The OSPF processes of
the same VPN, however, must be configured with the same domain ID; otherwise, the
route advertisement may be incorrect.
The domain ID of an OSPF process is carried by the route generated by this OSPF
process. When the OSPF route is imported to BGP, the domain ID is attached to the
BGP VPN route, and is transmitted as an extended community attribute.
The default domain ID is 0.
4.
(Optional) Run:
route-tag tag-value
The VPN route tag is configured.
By default, OSPF allocates tags automatically according to certain algorithm.
