Lock-out

This function block is provided with possibilities to initiate lock-out. The lock-out can be
set to only activate the block closing output CLLKOUT or initiate the block closing output
and also maintain the trip signal (latched trip).
The lock-out can then be manually reset after checking the primary fault by activating the
input reset Lock-Out RSTLKOUT or via the HMI.
If external conditions are required to initiate Lock-out but not initiate trip this can be
achieved by activating input SETLKOUT. The setting AutoLock = Disabled means that
the internal trip will not activate lock-out so only initiation of the input SETLKOUT will
result in lock-out. This is normally the case for overhead line protection where most faults
are transient. Unsuccessful autoreclose and back-up zone tripping can in such cases be
connected to initiate Lock-out by activating the input SETLKOUT.
Blocking of the function block
Blocking can be initiated internally by logic, or by the operator using a communication
channel. Total blockage of Tripping logic (SMPPTRC ,94) function is done by activating
the input BLOCK and can be used to block the output of SMPPTRC (94) in the event of
internal failures.
