Remove the System Configuration PROM

Remove the System Configuration PROM
The system configuration PROM is a cold-service component that can be replaced only by
qualified service personnel.
Before beginning this procedure, ensure that you are familiar with the cautions and safety
instructions described in
configuration PROM, see
Caution -
electricity. Ensure that you follow ESD preventative practices to avoid damaging the circuit
boards.
1. Remove the main module from the server.

2. Take the necessary ESD precautions.

3. Locate the system configuration PROM on the main module.

4. Grasp the system configuration PROM, and lift it up to remove it from the main
