To use this function, a TWAIN compatible application (such as Adobe Photoshop CS3) must be installed.

This section uses Adobe Photoshop CS3 as an example.
This section describes the procedure when using Remote Scan with a USB connection. For details on network connections and how
to start scanning with Scan to PC, refer to
Scanning
1.
Set a document in the ADF or on the document glass.
2.
Start Adobe Photoshop on the computer.
3.
Select [Import] from [File], and then select [OKI MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 USB] or [OKI
MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 Network].
If you select [OKI MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 USB], proceed to step 7.
If you select [OKI MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 Network] and you perform a network scan after the first time, proceed to step 7.

When you perform a network scan for the first time, click [OK] in the dialog box that is displayed to
inform you that the connection destination selection tool starts.
5.
In the [Scan Settings] dialog box, select the connection destination, register host information if
necessary, and then click [OK].
6.
Select [Import] from [File] of Adobe Photoshop, and then select [OKI MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 Network].
7.
Click a scan button.
Scanning starts.
8.
Select [Quit Photoshop] from [Photoshop].
Changing Settings in Simple Mode
You can adjust how a document is scanned by changing the driver settings.
The following explains each setting item.
You can change the settings of five registered buttons.
1.
Set a document in the ADF or on the document glass.
2.
Start Adobe Photoshop CS3 from a computer.
3.
Select [Import] from [File], and then select [OKI MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 USB]or [OKI
MB5(4)x2_ES5(4)1x2 Network].
4.
When you perform a network scan for the first time, click [OK] in the dialogbox that is displayed to
inform you that the connection destination selectiontool starts.
5.
In the [Scan Settings] dialog box, select the connection destination, register host information if
necessary, and then click [OK].
