The external power supply must be grounded. Grounding provides the path
of least resistance
for
the electric current, thereby reducing the risk of electric
shock. The power supply must be plugged
properly installed and grounded
ordinances.
IMPROPER CONNECTION OF THE EQUIPMENT·GROUNDING CONNECTOR CAN
RESULT IN THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. CHECK WITH A
QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR SERVICE PERSON IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT AS TO
WHETHER THE MACHINE IS PROPERLY GROUNDED. DO NOT MODIFY
THE PLUG PROVIDED WITH THIS MACHINE. IF IT WILL NOT FIT THE
AVAILABLE OUTLET, HAVE A PROPER OUTLET INSTALLED BY A
QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
The grounding plug on the power supply is shown in sketch A of Figure 18*.
A temporary adapter, shown in sketches Band C, may be used to connect the
