PARTS REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

BRAKE SYSTEM

Brake Actuator Arm

1.
Remove the left side cover.
2.
Remove the brake cam mounting screw from the top of the brake actuator
arm.
3.
Loosen thejam nut from the center of the actuator arm, and remove the
lower screw (see Figure 15).
4.
Install the new
arm.
5.
Use the brake actuator spring nut and lor the lower mounting nut to adjust
the throw on the arm to properly

Brake Motor

1.
Remove the left side
cover.
2.
Remove the brake actuator arm.
3.
Remove the brake cam mounting screw and slide the cam off the brake
motor shaft (see Figure
14).
4.
Unplug the motor cable from the power control board, remove the mounting
bolts from the motor, and remove the motor from the frame.
5.
Install the new motor and reassemble the machine.
6.
Use the brake actuator spring nut and/or the lower mounting nut to adjust
the throw on the arm to properly engage/disengage the brake (see Figure
15).
