System 5 Digital Audio Mixing System Operation Manual

Chapter 2: New Features in eMix Version 3.0

This section lists new and updated features in the eMix versions 3.0 software. Cross-
references link to that feature's discussion in the manual.
Scene Automation
Scene Automation allows the manual triggering of a single snapshot, or a sequence of
snapshots. Cross-fading to a scene can be programmed by setting fader/knob glide
times. A delay time between scenes can also be programmed.

Enhanced Logging Capabilities
Enhanced logging capabilities capture a larger data set, including snapshot and lay-
out recall events. The System Computer log history will be available over multiple
system reboots with a new Rotating Log feature.

Longer Delay Function (DF66 only)
A longer delay function of up to 2 seconds with 3 separate display options (frames,
samples, and seconds).

Bus Processing (DF66 only)
User-assignable Bus Processing functionality is added to Bus Sections, Group Busses,
and Aux Busses. These functions include a limiter, compressor, and filters. Busses
are now directily available on the surface and can be automated.

DF66 Super Core
Support for the DF66 Super Core DSP platform.
Auto-Update of DSP Software (DF66 only)
The DF66 will automatically check the System PC's software version and update its
own software version if necessary to insure compatiblilty.
