CHAPTER 3. SIP Gateway Management
Configuring SIP MWI Features
This section describes how to set the SIP Message Waiting Indication(MWI)
feature. Using SIP MWI Server and SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY methods, Ubigate
iBG2016 checks if a waiting message exists in each FXS port. Since MWI
Server is the same as Call Manager in Call Manager Inter-working mode,
MWI server is not set separately. In a Stand-Alone mode, a separate MWI
Server should be set.
And, MWI function should be set for each FXS voice port.
Restrictions for SIP MWI Feature
The MWI feature of Ubigate iBG2016, via interworking with MWI server,
only notifies if a waiting message exists via audible or visible indication, but
does not provide the 'Call redirection to the voice-mail server when the line is
busy or there is no answer' function.
