Configuring Session Timer
This section describes how to enable the SIP Session Timer feature. For the
established session, SIP Session Timer feature periodically updates the session
via re-INVITE or UPDATE method. If no reply is received in response to re-
INVITE or UPDATE for session updating, or an error response is received, the
session is closed by sending BYE method. A session is also closed when the
session is not updated within the mutually negotiated interval.
Two SIP headers were added to support SIP Session Timer feature.
One is Session-Expires which is a Session Update cycle. The other one is
Min-SE, which is used to limit the minimum value of the session update cycle.
Restrictions for Session Timer
Ubigate iBG2016 uses a UPDATE method as the method of session update.
Even though Session update is not done using INVITE, when INVITE for
session update is received, it is processed normally.
