4.2.2

Type of temperature calculation

Based on the number of the configured probes, and the ones selected for the calculations, it will be possible to define the type
of calculation completed by the application for the return and delivery temperature.
The following 4 calculation modes are available for both:
Temperature of the first probe enabled.
Average of the read temperatures.
Highest temperature among those read.
Lowest temperature among those read.
Apart from the "First probe enabled", the other 3 modes only consider the actually available probes, meaning those that are
not in alarm.
"First probe enabled" mode returns as the temperature resulting from the calculation the first one among the ones selected for
use.
The order with which the application considers the probes to be used is as follows:
1.
NTC probes. For the return temperature, it only considers the return NTC probe; for the delivery temperature, it only
considers the delivery NTC probe.
2.
Air return serial T/H probe, only considered for the calculation of the return temperature, or air delivery serial T/H probe,
only considered for the calculation of the delivery temperature.
3.
Remote serial T/H probes in ascending numerical order.
The probes to be used for the calculation of the return temperature are specified using parameter P28.19 in the Regulations2
Menu.
The probes to be used for the calculation of the delivery temperature are specified using parameter P28.28 in the
Regulations2 Menu.
The type of return temperature calculation is defined by parameter P28.20 in the Regulations2 Menu.
The type of delivery temperature calculation is defined by parameter P28.21 in the Regulations2 Menu.
WARNING:
As the masks of parameters P28.18 and P28.19 display and allow to specify the probes to use for
the calculations based on the settings of parameters P10.50, P10.51, P27.04, P27.34 and P20.82,
in order to avoid parameter mistakes, and therefore temperature calculation mistakes, change the
probe configuration parameters following this order:
1.
2.
Lastly excludes the probes not installed in the machine using parameters P10.50, P10.51, P27.04,
P27.34 and P20.82.
4.2.3

Selection of the adjustment temperature

For all the units, with the exception of direct expansion units with on/off compressors only, it is possible to choose between the
following temperatures for the adjustment through parameter P20.01:
Return air temperature calculated.
Delivery air temperature calculated.
INFORMATION:
Should all the probes configured for the calculation of the adjustment temperature be in alarm, the application
will generate alarm A119 and disable temperature adjustment.
The adjustment with delivery air probe is also allowed if electric heaters are present.
In this case, the cooling devices will adjust based on the delivery temperature and the cooling setpoint P50.10, while the
electric heaters and the other heating devices will adjust based on the return temperature and the heating setpoint P50.02.
Version 38
Define the probes installed in the machine using parameters P10.50, P10.51, P27.04P27.34
and P20.82.
Then specify which of these probes to use for the calculations using parameters P28.18 and
P28.19.
