12 DAMPER MANAGEMENT

12.1 Delivery damper

There is a delay before the fan is started up to allow the delivery damper to open. This involves use of the auxiliary damper
contact. As soon as the damper is almost completely open, the fan is cleared for start-up.
For further details, please refer to the electrical diagrams.
The parameter for configuring the damper presence is under the "Optional" menu, which can be accessed by entering the
"Service" password.
Moreover, once the damper is enabled, a delay is inserted in order to allow the air flow alarm to be detected. This delay is set
according to the contents of the datasheet of the damper motor.
The parameter for configuring the damper opening time is under the "Optional" menu, which can be accessed by entering the
"Service" password.

12.2 Direct Free Cooling damper

The Direct Free Cooling damper is available on all types of units.
It remains shut if:
the fan is off (unit OFF);
Direct Free Cooling is not enabled;
the compressor is on and simultaneous operation is not enabled.
In all other cases, the opening is defined by the following adjustment graphs, showing modulating adjustments.

Damper differential
Damper modulation, if enabled, is integral proportional.
The parameter for the selection of the type of damper adjustment (P20.10) can be found under the "Free Cooling" menu,
which can be accessed by entering the "Service" password.
The parameters for configuring the Free Cooling function are in the "Free Cooling" menu, which can be accessed by entering
the "Service" password.
The setpoint and adjustment band values for all the types of units are in the "Free Cooling" menu, which can be accessed by
entering the "Service" password.
