Comments
If this bit is set to 0, ECM is switched off for all communications.
In addition, V.8 protocol and JBIG compression are switched off
automatically.
Do not change the setting.
(0,1): The machine will disconnect the line without sending a fax message, if
the last 8 digits of the received CSI do not match the last 8 digits of the
dialed telephone number. This does not work when manually dialed.
(1,0): The same as above, except that only the last 4 digits are compared.
(1,1): The machine will disconnect the line without sending a fax message, if
the other end does not identify itself with an RTI or CSI.
(0,0): Nothing is checked; transmission will always go ahead.
• This function does not work when dialing is done from the external
telephone.
Do not change the setting.
The setting determined by these bits is informed to the transmitting terminal
in the pre-message protocol exchange (in the DIS/NSF frames).
Comments
If there are more consecutive error lines in the received page than
the threshold, the machine will send a negative response. The Low
and High threshold values depend on the sub-scan resolution, and
are as follows.
