6-3. Connecting the UPS

n
There are two types of the CSM-200 depending on the internal power supply system; one type of the
CSM-200 contains the single power system while the other type contains the dual power system.
When using the UPS, check the system status described later and connect it correctly.
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
The UPS protects data from damage or devices from malfunction. When power is supplied via the UPS,
the PetaSite can be operated as long as power is supplied internally, even if the external power supply is
stopped.
The status monitoring function of the UPS enables the processing of the PetaSite to be shut down before
the internal power supply from the UPS stops.
The UPS should be used to improve system reliability in case of a power failure or power supply prob-
lem, particularly when the system is to be installed in an area prone to power failures. It is recommended
to use the UPS.
