3. Ambient temperature
By referring to the table below, set the ambient temperature, check whether the PC-server cluster can
be installed in the console, and designate the direction of the fiber channel switch.
The following table shows the ambient temperatures for the both old and new types of the console.

. Table 1 shows the evaluation made with the SDZ-130F (drive unit) and BROCADE M4500 (fiber
channel switch) installed.
. Table 2 shows the evaluation made with the SDZ-130F (drive unit) and BROCADE SilkWorm
3800 (fiber channel switch) installed.
. The BROCADE M4500 exhausts air from the AC inlet side.
. BROCADE SilkWorm 3800 and 3200 exhaust air from the FC connecter side.
. The appearance of the new type console differs that of the old in the following points:
(a) The rear side of the PC-server area is open.
(b) Blank panel (1U) is not attached.
(c) A ventilation hole is provided at the bottom of the front door.
