(8) Install the drives into the newly added drive area.

Be sure to install the blank panels (drive) that are removed in step (3), in the blank slots in which
drive is not installed, for safe operation of the system.
(9) Remove the front inner panel. (Refer to "4-2-1. Opening the Outer Cabinets".)
(10) Change and confirm the settings of the following switches of the basic storage system and of the
extension consoles. (Refer to "4-4. Switch Setting".)
Switches on the CB-121 board (S300, S301)
Switch on the SE-57 board (S200)
Switch on the SE-717 board (S100)

To return the area that was once changed to the drive area, back to the original bin area, you can
return by reversing the steps of "Extending the Drive Area (Basic Storage System)".
When the area is returned to the bin area, be sure to install the blank panel to the blank slot from
which the drives are removed, for safety.
When attaching the bin assembly, following positioning is needed.
1. Align the long hole of the portion [A] with the dowel of the frame side, and determine the
position in the direction of right and left.
2. Push up the portions [B] and [C] as far as they can go, and determine the position in the vertical
direction.

(11) Update the database of the PSC by performing DB refresh or Reconfig from the Setup Console
Composition screen of the PSC. Refer to HELP of the PSC for details
(12) Execute Full Initial using the "init" command. (Refer to " 7.Operation check" ).
