4. Operating system installation

PetaApp Linux Installation Procedure
(1) Preparation
(a) Record the serial number on the main unit of CSM-200B/200BF/200BS/100B/100BF/100BS/
60B/60BF/60BS.
(b) For only PSC V6.10 or earlier, "PetaApp Maintenance Tool" is required to set the host ID.
Contact the service section of the retailer where you purchased this product.
(c) Prepare the "PetaApp Linux Disk1" CD-ROM or the "PetaApp Linux DVD" DVD supplied
with the basic storage system.
(d) Set up RAID and iLO beforehand.
(e) The following OS versions can be installed.
V3.11: Proliant DL360 G6 and G7
V3.10: Proliant DL360 G6 only
V3.00: Proliant DL360 G5 only
V2.02: Proliant DL360 G4p, Proliant DL360 G4 and Proliant DL360 G3
V2.01: Proliant DL360 G4 and Proliant DL360 G3
V2.00: Proliant DL360 G3 only
(2) Operating system installation

Turn on the power of the PC server, and insert the "PetaApp Linux Disk1" CD-ROM or the
"PetaApp Linux DVD" DVD of above version into the CD-ROM/DVD drive.

Do not touch or scratch the recording surface of the CD-ROM or DVD. If you cannot load it
easily, loosen the screws on both sides of the PC server, and then draw forward the PC server
while paying attention that the rear cable is not disconnected. In particular, take much care in
handling the DVD also after removing it from the drive as its recording surface is very vulnera-
ble to scratches.
Start the installer by entering "petaapp" in the "Boot:" prompt in the Welcome menu.
The installation script will be executed (wait for about 10 minutes).

After installation is finished, the "Complete" screen will display. Reboot by pressing the Enter
key.

The CD-ROM/DVD will be ejected and the login screen will start up.
4.
Log into the root account from the login window. Enter:
Username: "root"
Password: "sony2002"
