1-12. Reference System

Either of the following reference signals can be selected by the HOME menu setting.
. External reference video signal from the REF. INPUT connector.
. Input video signal from the HD SDI INPUT A connector of ports A to D

When "external" is set with the HOME menu, be sure to input the external reference video signal to the REF. INPUT
connector.
If no signal is input, recording may not be made correctly.
Alarm indication of the input video signal and reference signal
Blinking of the STOP button
The STOP button blinks while the reference signal is not locked to the input video signal. (This function can be disabled by
the F3 (REF ALARM) in SETUP menu F2 (PANEL SETTING))
. When the HOME menu F3 (REF SEL) is set to "Input"
The STOP button blinks when no signal is input to the HD SDI INPUT A connector of the selected port or when a signal
different from the selected system is input.
. When the HOME menu F3 (REF SEL) is set to "Ext"
The STOP button blinks when the reference video signal is not input to the REF. INPUT connector or when a reference
video signal different from the system is input.

1-13-1. Setting Timecode

Use the TC menu of the function menu for timecode setting.
Make setting as follows when connecting the unit to an editing device (such as editor and VTR having editing function).

1-13-2. Setting Constant Values for VTR of Editing Device

When an external editing device that requires settings of VTR constant values is connected, make settings according to
Table 1-13-2 below.
