Objective of Excel import

Introduction
In PAA 3.0 the "Excel import" plugin is redesigned with improved and advanced functionalities
compared to the previous version. You can use the "Excel import" plugin to import the plant
hierarchies, CM instances, hardware, parameters and signals. The revised "Excel import"
plugin is very flexible to map the data from excel worksheet to the objects or attributes in PAA,
which makes the plugin more user friendly. Using this plugin, the bulk engineering is done
better and faster.

Requirement
● The required Microsoft Excel software is installed
● The Signallist.xls / xlsx file exists and is complete
● The BPCMT_Lib.xls / xlsx file with "Mapping label" exists and is complete in case of
importing parameter/signal information
Alternatively, you can use your own library files apart from the example files given in the PAA
setup. Use the query provided to collect the CMT signals and parameters.
Note
The Excel signal list must have:
● The CMTs same as in PAA project while importing CM instances
● The AS station names and Subnet names same as in PAA project while importing
