User can change the rules when the data at instance should be overwritten. See also
chapter Standard table X01N00020 Assembly updater properties mapping PCS 7 (Page 207).
14.13.3

Updating CM below EM/EMT

Introduction
The CMs and the objects below it created below EM/EMT can be updated in the Assembly
updater. Assembly updater can also be used to update EM instances and objects below it.
Requirement
● CMs and some objects are created below the EMT. See also chapter Creating control
modules (Page 26).
● CMs are created using existing CMT below EMT
● Edit the CMs and its objects
● EM instances are created
Updating newly created CM below EM
1. Open the "Assembly updater" plugin.
2. Drag and drop the EMT into the "Refreshed template" field in the plugin.
3. Click the "Refresh" icon on the menu bar of the plugin, the instances of the EMT are
displayed in the "Structural differences" column.
4. Click 'Update".
The changes in the CM will be updated and available in the EM instance.
Note
Only the new objects will be updated, that is, Signals, Parameters or Messages. Changes
at object properties like, Name attribute will not be transferred to the EM instance after
updating.
