Connection Manager
It is a plugin used to to create large quantities of connections or references.
Connections
Engineering objects are interconnected by connectors.
There are two types of connection:
● Connections without objects
● Object-based connections
CVS
Abbreviation for Cache Validation Service.
Database synchronization to ensure that all clients always access the latest information in the
COMOS database.
Data Exchange
Data exchange is a process of transfer of data and data synchronization between PAA and
PCS 7.
Data Transfer
Its a process of transfer of data between PCS 7 and PAA. Data can be transferred and
synchronized bidirectionally.
Database
The database contains the predefined objects and components. All engineering data is stored
and managed in the database during plant engineering.
Direct data exchange:
Data exchange between PAA and PCS 7 when PAA and PCS 7 both are installed on the same
PC.
Distributed Periphery
Distributed periphery is a pool of devices from where you can select the required IO module
