13.7 Importing Signal values
● If AS assignment on CM is needed, then the corresponding S7 400 station is needed
● Library file must be created and mapping labels are set based on the PCS 7 library and the
example of an import signal list (for example, in MonAn Control Module, "PV_In" is the signal
which has Mapping label as "PV" in the "BPCMT_Lib_V1.0" library)
Procedure
1. Open the "Excel import" plugin.
2. Do the required configuration to import TH, CM and HW.

3. Configure and map the Signal properties in the "Column mapping" tree.
"Signal label", "Signal name (Symbol address)", "Comment", "Measurement range - min /
max / unit" can be mapped.
Note
"Signal label" is mandatory to be mapped.
Note
To create an own unit (user defined unit) for example "MyUnit", follow the steps below:
● Create "MyUnit" in the COMOS unit system (Administrator > Base data > Unit system);
● Create the Unit in PCS 7 unit file (C:\Program Files (x86)\SIEMENS\STEP7\S7DATA
● Add new unit in the standard table for Excel import (Y10|X01|A10|X01N00024 Unit
