Procedure
The HW configuration tool is used to configure the ET 200 family I/O modules and described as
below:
1. In the menu bar, select the "Plugins > Automation > PCS 7 interface > "HW configuration
tool" command or click the icon on the toolbar.
The "HW configuration tool" plugin opens.
2. Select the required I/O module to be configured from the available tabs in the "HW
configuration tool" window.
The image below shows the example of ET 200M I/O module.
3. Drag&drop the target object from the Navigator to the "Target object" field in the "Set
location as owner" area.
4. Select the required interface modules and other components related to the particular
module in the "General" area.
