Excel import plugin
13.1 Objective of Excel import
Procedure
1. In the menu bar, select the "Plugins > Automation > PCS 7 interface > Excel import"
command or click the "Excel import" icon on the toolbar.
The "Excel import" plugin opens.
2. By default, the "Target object" will have DCS Structure. You can drag&drop any hierarchy
folder below the DCS structure folder in the Navigator.
3. Click the "..." button next to the "Excel file" field.
A window opens.
4. Select the signal list.
Note
The user can use the example signal list file (English and German files) available in the path
"C:\ProgramData\Siemens\PCS 7 Plant Automation Accelerator\Vx.y\Excel" after
installation.
5. Select the required worksheet from the drop down list of the "Worksheet" field.
6. Enter/Select the caption row from the "Caption row" field.
7. Enter/Select the row from which the Excel worksheet should be read in the "Start row" field.
8. Click the "..." button next to the "Library file" field.
A window opens.
