8.11 Exchanging control module assignments
Importing CM assignment from PCS 7 to PAA defined in EM instance
The following prerequisits are to be available in PCS 7 and PAA before importing:
● CM created using existing CMT below EMT and defined as basic requirement (both in PAA
& PCS 7)
● Assignment is created and is assigned to CM (both in PAA & PCS 7)
● Another CM instance of the same type like the CM below EMT exists (both in PAA & PCS 7)
● Instance of EMT created (in PCS 7)
● Assign another CM instance in the EM instance
Note
It is only possible to assign instances of compatible CM type in the project.
Procedure
1. Import using the "Import / Export PCS 7" plugin.
Verify the assignment properties in EM instance that the assigned control module has a link
to the CM instance.
Exporting CM assignment from PAA to PCS 7 defined in EMT
The following prerequisits are to be available in PCS 7 and PAA before exporting:
● EMT already created (both in PAA & PCS 7)
● Created CM assignment below the EMT (in PAA)
– CM defined as basic requirement or not defined as basic requirement
● Created CM using existing CMT below EMT (in PAA)
● Assigned CM to the assignment (in PAA)
Procedure
1. Export using the "Import / Export PCS 7" plugin.
Verify in PCS 7 that the assignment is created and assigned control module is set correct.
Exporting CM assignment from PAA to PCS 7 defined in EM instance
The following prerequisits are to be available in PCS 7 and PAA before exporting:
● CM created using existing CMT below EMT and defined as basic requirement (both in PAA
& PCS 7)
● Assignment is created and is assigned to CM (both in PAA & PCS 7)
● Another CM instance of the same type like the CM below EMT exists (both in PAA & PCS 7)
