Glossary
Symbolic name
A symbolic name is a placeholder for a unique designation to be assigned at a later time, for
example, an address. Symbolic names are often descriptive.
Symbols
Symbols are individual, graphical representations of objects in reports. An object may have
different symbols for different diagram types.
Tabs
Tabs sort information. They are displayed by clicking on the tab using the mouse.
Terminal bus
The following components communicate on the terminal bus: servers / clients (OS, BATCH,
Route Control) and the Engineering Station (ES).
TH
Technological Hierarchy defines the logical sequence of a plant.
Toolbar
A number of buttons with which functions can be started that could also be accessed via a
menu.
Type Configurator
It is a plugin used to edit the libraries, structures and also define the attributes.
Types re-assignment
Its a plugin used to reassign control module types to the control modules.
User
Unlike the administrator, users have only limited access rights.
User Management
Area in PAA where the user rights are defined and the working areas are determined.
