Pulse-Width Modulator Interface

23.1

Overview

The pulse-width modulator (PWM) interface of Intel
processor) contains four signals that are configured to generate periodic output signals. The
configuration of the PWMs is accomplished through software and is described in detail in the
®
Intel
PXA27x Processor Developers Manual.
The PWM signals are implemented through GPIOs. Therefore, the hardware considerations
necessary for the PWM signals are the same as that of the GPIOs. Refer to
Purpose Input/Output Interfaces"
implementation of the pulse-width modulator signals.
23.2

Signals

The PWM signals are implemented through the GPIOs of the PXA27x processor. Refer to GPIO
alternate function table in the GPIO chapter of the Intel
for the GPIO assignments of the PWM signals.
