From the System View window, double click on the optical port under test.
Result:
Alarms tab Highest Alarms: should display Not Alarmed

Remove the lightguide jumper used to loop back the optical Ethernet port and click
Refresh to the View Equipment window.
Result:
LEDs are lighted on the SYSCTL circuit pack. In the Alarms tab Highest Alarms:
should display Critical.

If all pluggable transmission modules are installed, then from the System View menu click
on the Alarm List button to verify that no alarms are present for the pluggable
transmission modules just installed on the circuit packs.

In the Fault tab, Port Monitoring Mode: should display IS
The FAULT LED on the pack and port LED starts flashing. The CR and NE
The port LED stops flashing. All alarms are cleared.
