16. Transformer Unit

16.1 Description

AC Voltage:
115 VAC (+10%/-15%), 2.6 A, 60 Hz
or
230 VAC (+10%/-15%), 1.3 A, 50 Hz

The transformer unit contains:
• AC power cord receptacle with line fi lter
• On/Off switch
• Voltage selector (115 or 230 VAC)
• Ring core transformer
• Mounting plate
All parts are fi tted on the mounting plate, which is fi tted to the rear
plate using two #T20 Torx screws and to the printer's center sec-
tion using one #T20 Torx screw. The AC power cord receptacle,
the On/Off switch and the voltage selector are accessible through
slots in the rear plate.
The transformer unit is connected to P-300 on the CPU board via
a single cable.
The cables of the transformer unit are permanently affi xed to either
the transformer unit or the AC power cord receptacle.
The transformer unit contains wires and components with dangerous voltage
115/230 VAC! Always remove the power cord before touching the transformer
unit.
