The rear plate itself may be of little interest, but it is provided with a
number of punched holes that give access to the mains receptacle,
the on/off switch and the voltage selector (115/230 VAC), which
are fi tted on the transformer unit. The connector of the standard I/O
port "uart1:" protrudes through another hole. The same hole also
gives access to the display contrast potentiometer.
A cover plate next to "uart1:" can be removed to allow a number
of different interface boards to be fi tted.
On the left side (as seen from behind), there are two rectangular
slots for media from external supplies. These slots can be provided
with optional edge guides as described in Chapter 5.
The mchine label with the signs of approval is fi tted on the rear
plate.
