To remove the unit, remove the two screws that hold the fl ange and
pull the belt off the gear wheel. Then dismantle the gear wheel by
removing the circlip. Now you can pull the remaining parts of the
unit out into the media compartment.
To dismantle the unit further, remove the #T20 Torx screw and
washer at the end of the shaft and pull off the bobbin, the compres-
sion spring and the nylon washer. Then you can inspect the friction
felt. No further dismantling is normally required.
Reassemble in reverse order, making sure that the one-way clutch
in the gear wheel works in the correct direction. Finally, fi t the belt
over the gear wheel, adjust the tension of the belt as described in
Chapter 8.4, and tighten the screws that hold the fl ange.
The braking torque can be adjusted by adding or removing wash-
ers at the outer end of the shaft and should be adjusted to 160±10
Nmm at 20°C
