Cutting Mechanism

Standard Cutter
The spring that presses the anvil blade against the rotating shear
may eventually get slack, especially if the anvil blade is forced
open, for example during cleaning. A slack spring must be replaced
as follows:
• Remove the right-hand gable of the cutter (two #T20 Torx
screws).
• Remove the right-hand gable of the cutter mechanism (two
#T20 Torx screws + three Posidrive screws).
• Replace the spring and assemble in reverse order, making sure
to put back all the washers.
LinerLess Cutter
The following parts are available as spares:
• The guide plate (see Chapter 12.4)
• The spring that holds the anvil blade. Replace this spring if the
pulling force becomes less than 1.75 N.
• The cutter home position microswitch
• The safety microswitch (anvil shear open/closed)
• The label taken sensor
The latter three parts requires some dismantling of the cutter unit
before they can replaced. They come without any cables, so the
existing cables must be removed and soldered to the new parts.
Before removing the cables, note where each line is connected!
