. REAR BRAKE/REAR FORK/REAR
WHEEL/REAR SHOCK ABSORBER

BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
REMOVAL
When removing the brake hose bolt, cover
the end of the hose to prevent contamination.
Secure the hose to prevent fluid from leaking
out.
Remove the upper handlebar cover (refer to
the "FRAME COVERS
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION" section in
the chapter 2).
Drain the rear brake hydraulic system (refer
to the "REAR BRAKE FLUID" section in
this chapter).
Remove the brake lever pivot bolt (1) and nut
(2), then remove the brake lever.
Disconnect the brake light switch connectors
(3).
Remove the brake hose oil bolt (4), sealing
washer and brake hose eyelet.
Remove the two bolts (5) from the master
cylinder holder and remove the master
cylinder assembly.
