Updating the System - Applying Service Pack -

To ensure normal system operation you should update your system in the following
cases:
- The CPU was expanded from single processor to multi-processor.
- The system configuration was modified.
- The system was recovered using the recovery process.
The system update reinforces the system security. We recommend you apply this
update. It does not need to be applied again when the Windows Server 2003 x64
Editions CD-ROM (in which ServicePack 2 is included) is installed.
If you install the Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions CD-ROM which contains Service
Pack 2, you do not have to apply "Hotfix for Windows x64" or "Hotfix for Windows
Server 2003 (KB921411)". Go on to
Update the System and then apply the "Hotfix (KB921411)".
In the situation below, make sure to update the system and to
apply the "Hotfix (KB921411)".
Modified system configuration
Recovered the system using recovery process.
ROM which includes Service Pack 2, the application of "Hotfix
(KB921411)" is not required.
Applying the Hotfix (KB921411)
Apply the "Hotfix (KB921411)" before updating the system.
1. Log on to the system using an account with administrator authority (such as
administrator).
2. Insert the NEC ExpressBuilder DVD into the optical disc drive of the server.
3. Click the Start menu, select [Run], and then execute the following command.
