- Ι nstall the distinctive network driver for the server. Make sure that the protocol,
such as TCP/IP, and services are properly specified.
■ Ι s the transfer speed correct?
- Open the network property dialog box in control panel to specify the "Link
Speed & Duplex" value the same as the value specified for HUB.
Wake on LAN does not start from standby state.
■ Ι s Hub set to Auto-Negotiation? Or, Is the client set to Auto-Negotiation/optimum
speed?
- For both hub and client, Wake on LAN does not start from the standby state if
the speed is fixed to 1000Mbps.

RAID System and RAID Controller

Check the following if the server configured with a RAID system does not operate
properly or if an utility does not operate correctly.
Fail to install the OS:
■ Ι s the RAID controller configured?
- Provide proper configuration for the RAID controller by using the LSI Software
RAID Configuration Utility or WebBIOS.
Fail to start the OS:
■ Did the BIOS of the RAID controller change?
- Set the BIOS correctly using using the LSI Software RAID Configuration Util-
ity or WebBIOS.
■ Does the POST recognize the RAID controller?
- Make sure that the RAID controller is connected correctly, and power on the
server.
- The RAID controller on the motherboard may be faulty. Contact your service
representative.
Rebuild fails:
■ Ι s the capacity of the hard disk drive to be rebuilt sufficient?
- The hard disk drive to be rebuilt should have a capacity equal to the failed hard
disk drive capacity.
■ Is RAID0 configured?
